Unique growing conditions
The MontGras Day One Carmenere 2022 is made from 100% Carmenere grapes that thrive in a warm Mediterranean climate with four clearly defined seasons and significant temperature fluctuations between day and night. The soil, a deep mixture of clay and sand, offers optimal conditions for cultivation. The harvest of the first grapes of this wine began on April 18th, hand-picked to ensure quality.
The aging of the MontGras Day One Carmenere begins immediately after the grapes arrive in the winery. After destemming, fermentation takes place with specially selected yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The maximum fermentation temperature is kept at 28°C. To further refine the quality, the final blend matured for 11 months in contact with French oak, which gives the wine its characteristic depth and complexity.
