Aroma: An opening note of rich apples and pears sets the structure for this release. As the whisky begins to open, herbaceous, fresh fruits make their way through. As time goes on, subtle tones of honey and warming spices develop. The peat remains delicate on the nose, giving this whisky a certain dryness.

Geschmack: The texture created by a slow distillation and the influence of the Cognac oak provides a buttery texture that continues throughout. Dried lemon and apricot combine with cinnamon and nutmeg, held together by the influence of toasted oak and sweet peat smoke.

Abgang: The depth of flavour that the cognac casks have given to the Kilchoman spirit is unrivalled; dried fruit and marzipan give way to crystallised ginger, creating a balance between sweetness and spice. The lingering peat smoke is tempered by the influence of citrus oil, which makes its presence felt on the palate.
