Aroma: Typical of Caol Ila, a clear, fresh smokiness dominates the nose, coupled with maritime notes of seaweed and salty spray. There are also fresh citrus notes, particularly lemon and a hint of green apple, which add a pleasant freshness. Lighter tones of vanilla and freshly cut grass can be noticed.

Geschmack: On the palate, the whisky is strong and smoky, but with a remarkably smooth texture. The smoke is well integrated and is complemented by aromas of smoked lemon and some pepper. Peaty notes are present but not overwhelming, and there is a pleasant sweetness reminiscent of honey and ripe pears. Herbal notes and a slight saltiness round off the taste.

Abgang: The finish is medium to long, with the smoke fading away slowly, leaving room for dry, mineral and slightly medicinal notes. At the end, there remains a pleasant aftertaste of sea salt and a hint of oak.
