The idea of creating a whisky for the German heavy metal band "Grave Digger" came from Axel Ritt, the band's guitarist. After several tastings, the Ziegler distillery team was not only converted to the band's sound but also delivered a whisky that convinced both sides. This is a 6-year-old single malt whisky that matured in both new Allier oak barrels and new chestnut barrels in the first year. This whisky was then placed in ex-bourbon barrels for 5 years. In addition, there is the single malt that has matured for 6 years in Gonzalez Byass sherry barrels and a small portion of our peated whisky from ex-bourbon barrels.
Full-bodied taste with the subtle sweetness of sherry and toffee harmonizes excellently with the hint of peat in the finish, which gently flexes its muscles.
